The Office of the Commissioner for Privacy and Data Protection is a regulatory agency governed by the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014. Our work aims to support other Victorian government agencies in protecting information, which will help safe guard Victorians’ personal information.
The Office of the Commissioner for Privacy and Data Protection employs a diverse workforce. This includes policy advisors, data analysts, IT specialists, data protection and privacy specialists. We offer a variety of interesting activities and projects in privacy, law enforcement data protection and data protection for the Victorian public sector, which is supported by Commissioner for Privacy and Data Protection under his powers of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
